I don't think anyone is going to let him go; it's a collector's item. He was one of the last cards I picked up to complete the market for me, and he was expensive then (think i paid like 130). At this point stubs mean very little to a lot of people.

or you can learn to hit same handedness pitchers, no one wants to face an all same handed hitting lineup, like how realistic is that

If these were real teams, that's exactly what you would see. I'm not saying you can remove someone from your 25 man roster, but you should be able to make adjustments with what you do have. What manager, knowing that they are facing a right hander, would start a right handed batter when his left handed backup hits righties better.

    well.  poop.

You don't get to see so you don't back out. There aren't that many elite switch hitters to begin with, and now Beltran and Pepe are gone, and it's possible the cap has been nerfed.

Now I will say that you should be able to have two lineups for your 25 man roster; one against righties and the other for lefties.

I have never seen this or have any idea what you speak of.  But since no one else responded I will offer this, just based on what you said.

If 15 is the highest and about 1/3 of those are hits that makes sense. Since the best hitters in baseball, IE 15 hit chance guys, get hits in about 1/3 of their AB's.

32 games at first and almost the same amount of games at LF as RF but 1b iis 2nd position? lol, makes very little sense

Looking again, he played more games in center than he did 1b as well.

Be thankful they listed it. It's probably so we can play him at first, and not get worked over by his defense for being out of position.

I'm glad that team epics don't require collections. It really pissed me off when I needed breakout, IV, hardware, or AS cards and the only cards I could get were overpriced on the market or expensive team collections. I hope SDS removes all player collections from the game or at least gives us a lot of cheaper players. Last year the legend pitcher missions had collections but there were very few bronze, silver, or even gold legend pitchers in the game, so I would've had to buy overpriced diamonds.

Hopefully the Immortals will actually be hard to get or else there will be no card diversity on anyone's team by the AS break. Last year people completed the Griffey and the Pepe programs within the first month of the game so I don't really trust SDS with this. If they're making 99s so rare that they're only Immortals, then there will be no team diversity at all.

No one completed Pepe or Griffey in the first month, as they were both discovered May 19th. As far as Pepe is concerned most people didn't get him until much later, since they didn't have enough of the program completed. Those that got him early either paid for their team or worked the market (possible ws and br winners, but that is a real short amount of time to win that many stubs which would be required for an all team collect), as the all collect and team epics were a large percentage at 66%, and one but probably both would have to be done for them to 100% the program around May 19th.

Player collections aren't done, as Vlad is the reward for all collect. That still leaves us with the question; what are the division rewards. Probably not 99s, but quite possibly immortals (how many immortals are there and what are their ratings). If anyone has all the immortals by the as break it won't be many, and it doesn't look like they will have bought their way there. It looks like a ton of grinding will need to take place; not sure if some stubbage will be required.

So like they said in the stream how the best cards immortals ect are not available on the market what do you guys think? is pay to play officially a thing of the past? im curious to see what everybodys take on it is? good thing? bad thing? pay to pay still exists?

    Comment by x-Centaurus-x 3/ 4/2018 10:00AM
The immortals are going to take a long time to earn. Unless you want a non-competitive team until you do earn them, then you will have to shell out the stubs for FBs.

MLB was never about pay2play what are you talking about? You seem to be confused with StarWars Battlefront...buying cards in MLB never gave you a better team then someone else, it just helped you complete collections and advance missions which is still going to be required.

    Comment by SinCitySaiko 3/ 4/2018 10:09AM
Unless you are going 12-0 or making ws, then you are definitely paying out the stubs. Almost my whole team is off the market, and if you want Williams, Dawson, and Brett you are going to spend a lot of stubs.

If you don't work the market, be great at the game, or shell out real cash, you won't ever have an elite team. Buying cards certainly gives you a better team; whether it's any good depends on the player.

I am not giving people like you stubs for cards!! If i pull it fine if I don't fine, will not be buying from the market at all.

    Comment by GrizzBear55 3/ 4/2018 8:55AM
Don't then, there are plenty that will. Those that do will have a better team than you, whether you care about that or not doesn't matter as the market will move just fine.

Oh booo hooo hooo you don't get to put overpriced LS cards on the market now! Are we supposed to feel sorry for you greedy sellers? haha is all i can say now maybe gameplay will be more even!

    Comment by GrizzBear55 3/ 4/2018 8:39AM
The market will be just fine, and we will still make ours. If you want Vlad, you will have to buy those LS although those aren't the cards I work with. You might be able to get LS cheaper now, but those cards are no longer end game. The immortals are going to take a lot of playing, so they aren't going to save you from market prices. The cards that will help you are rs rewards, br rewards, event rewards, and FBs that are released in packs. Those cards will be higher than ever, so you still are going to have to shell out the stubs, that or field a largely non-competitive team until you do earn the immortals. Those that work the market, are great at the game, or spend the cash will have those cards so nothing is really changed; you're still going to have to pay up.
